The girly side of urban…

This little gal came by for her session Friday morning while it was raining – but we didn’t let a little rain stop us! She even brought her rain boots – how appropriate!

How on earth…

did over six months go by already? Joy’s little guy isn’t so little anymore. He joins us here at the studio a couple mornings a week and it’s so fun to be around a baby again. Isn’t he the cutest!

Welcome little one!

One of my greatest joys - a special session to celebrate a wonderful new addition to the family.
First, the precious new addition herself…

All the kids…

Some sisterly love…

and we can’t forget…mom & dad

Yummy!

This little gal got to tear into beautiful little cake covered with yummy pink frosting to celebrate her first birthday – and she let me watch! First we did some relaxed portraits to forever mark this huge milestone.

And then the cake, with a bit of antique color…

And my favorite [...]

Urban – Part 2 – with a twist…

After we finished with the first look we decided to mix it up a bit by belnding some of the old with some of the new. I think we found just the right blend.

Urban sessions…

…are my favorite! Everything about an urban session is fun for me – from the fun modern clothes, to the settings with all of the texture and character, to the creative post production work that gives them their final look – really provides a creative boost! The best part is the kids seem to love [...]

Another favorite!

I was looking through the images from this session again today and found another favorite to share!

Couldn’t resist!

I absolutely couldn’t resist sharing the photo. It just makes me grin every time I look at it! I love it when siblings get playful with one another.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday weekend!

Stylin’ in a tutu…

I love the simplicity of white for babies but when this little gal’s mom showed me her fluffy pink tutu I just knew we were going to have to get some photos in that too! Aren’t they precious!

So handsome…

This little guy stopped by last week to have some new portraits made. He switched between two very opposite expressions as we photographed the session – one was very smiley and the other was very serious – both were very cute!
